Sprinkler systems installed, repaired and kept running

A two-man irrigation crew working out of Gulf Breeze. New installs zoned by sun and soil, repair calls answered inside two working days, and the spring start-up and backflow test that keeps a system alive through a Panhandle summer.

Sandy soil, salt air and a dry April are hard on a system here. Ours get serviced twice a year, and they last.

About the company

A Florida LLC registered in 2022, owner-operated, working one truck.

HydraFlow Irrigation, LLC is a lawn irrigation contractor based at 1044 Coronado Dr in Gulf Breeze, Florida. We do three things: install new sprinkler systems on properties that have never had one, repair systems that have broken, and service systems on a seasonal schedule so they break less often.

On an install we walk the property first, map the zones by sun exposure and soil type — a St Augustine lawn in full Panhandle sun does not want the same run time as a shaded bed against the house — then trench the lines, set the heads, fit the backflow preventer, and program the controller with you standing there so you know how to change it. On a repair call it is usually a head sheared off by a mower, a cracked lateral after a freeze, or a failed solenoid leaving one zone running all night. I quote the work myself in the yard, and we do not hand a job to somebody else after quoting it.

What we do

Typical figures for a Gulf Breeze or Navarre property. Every job is priced after we walk the yard — these are here so you know what range you are in.

New system installation

Zone layout by sun and soil, trenching, heads and rotors set, backflow preventer fitted, controller programmed and handed over. Typically four to six zones on a quarter-acre lot, done in two days.

from $2,8504-zone system

Repair call

Broken or sunken heads, cracked laterals, failed solenoids and valves, wiring faults, and zones that will not shut off. We locate the fault, show you what failed and price the fix before touching it.

from $95call-out + first hour

Spring start-up

System pressurised, every zone run and watched, heads cleaned, straightened and adjusted for coverage, controller reset for the season.

$135up to 8 zones

Backflow testing

Annual test of the backflow preventer with the certificate filed to your water provider. Repairs or rebuilds quoted separately if it fails.

$85per device

Smart controller & rain sensor

Wi-Fi controller fitted and configured to local weather data, rain sensor installed and tested. The usual reason people call is a water bill that doubled over the summer.

from $390supplied and fitted

Drip conversion for beds

Spray heads in planting beds converted to drip line — less water lost to the wind off the sound, and no more soaked walls and windows.

from $340per bed zone

Payment is due on completion of the work. Installs take a 30% deposit at scheduling, refundable in full up to seven days before the start date. Our labour is guaranteed for one year; manufacturer warranties on controllers, valves and heads are passed to you with the invoice.

The year on a Panhandle system

What we are doing, and when, for customers on a service plan.

Feb – Mar

Spring start-up, coverage check, heads cleaned and straightened after the winter, controller reset.

Apr – Jun

The dry stretch and the busiest repair season. Run times raised, mower damage fixed, new installs going in.

Jul – Sep

Storm season. Rain sensors checked so the system is not watering through a downpour, and run times cut back.

Oct – Jan

Backflow testing, winterisation ahead of a freeze, and drip conversions while the lawn is dormant.

Licensed and insured

Irrigation contractor licence and general liability coverage; certificates sent on request.

Questions we get in the yard

My water bill jumped. Is that the system?

Usually yes — a stuck valve, a cracked lateral underground, or a controller still running a summer schedule in November. We can walk the zones and find it on a standard call-out.

Do I need a permit?

For a new system connected to city water, Santa Rosa or Escambia County will want the backflow device registered and tested. We handle the test and file the certificate with your provider.

Can you work with a well instead of city water?

Yes. Plenty of properties out toward Pace and Milton run off a well; the zone design changes because you are working to the pump's output rather than street pressure.

Will you dig up my whole lawn?

No. Lines are pulled with a vibratory plough, not open trenches, so the slit closes and the grass knits back over within a couple of weeks.

How long does an install take?

A four to six zone system on a normal lot is two days — one to lay and set, one to fit the controller, test every zone and adjust the coverage.

Do you take payment on this website?

No. There is no payment form here. You get a written quote, and payment is made on completion by cheque, card in person, or bank transfer.
